Boogie Stomp Pink - Stuart Pond
Boogie Stomp Pink I saw this gem of a work at the Sound / Image 2019 Symposium at University of Greenwich, London in November 2019 and loved it.  It was presented in the installation and in a screening.  It is the work of Independent artist Stuart Pound who lives in London and has worked in film, digital video, sound and the visual arts since the early 1970’s. Stuart's film work is quite incredible and can be seen on his vimeo channel.  He collaborates with the poet Rosemary Norman. "This boogie dance performed by William & Maeva was downloaded from the internet. Vertical sections taken from each frame are arranged into 24 panels to show pattern and movement across every second of it. First shown at the Ottawa International Animation Festival in Sep…

KIMA uses mathematical equations of cymatics – sound waves creating patterns on matter to organize sound in visual way. In Mare Undarum, Joby Burgess (powerplant) performed percussion improvisation with Claire M Singer – accompanied by the dancer Estela Merlos (previously at Ramber…

Art Pop Project KYOTI
London based art pop project KYOTI have just released their debut music single ' Cave-in ' with accompanying video. Great to see the pop music world focus on working with art through moving images and art to accompany their music. The art of their music is as important as the music itself. Kyoti's website imagery is very striking too. http://thisiskyoti.com/ From Marietta "With support for the track already coming from Clash and Indie Shuffle, you can watch the nostalgic visuals here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0sVzdxJrkg&feature=youtu.be In keeping with KYOTI's distinctive imagery - focused on combining the surreal with the mundane, particularly around the power of monolithic architecture and sculpture - ‘Cave In’ features…
